Taquia is an American Freelance Illustrator, based in Portugal, where she lives with her husband and children. Her passion for art bloomed within the concrete jungle of NYC, watered by her always encouraging family. Memories of drawing mermaids and princesses on her great-grandmother's lap fuels Taquia's desire to spark joy for others through her work.

After several years in the fashion industry and working with vector graphics for apparel, Taquia decided to pursue a career in illustration. Her artwork has been featured in virtual exhibitions and in Lisbon, Portugal.

Using digital paint or watercolor, Taquia creates engaging illustrations for publishing, licensing, places and spaces. Each image is created with care and thoughtful design, resulting in meticulously crafted and engaging artwork. Every piece created is a labor of love.
