Taquia is an American Illustrator, living in Portugal, with her husband and three children. When she is not creating art, Taquia loves to sing, travel and make memories with her family and friends. These aspects of her life all influence her artwork in some way.

Taquia's love for art bloomed in the concrete jungle of NYC, watered by her always encouraging family. Memories of drawing mermaids and princesses on her great-grandmother's lap fuels Taquia's desire to spark joy for others through her work. Using digital paint and watercolor, Taquia creates illustrations for children's book publishing and surface design. Each image is created with care and thoughtful design.
